For them, music is a serious hobby. They have full time day jobs and joke about being rock stars, to the point were they made up these stage names. But even a hobby artist has a need to get their works out for people to see and hear. The web is an open stage for anyone to do that.
On the blog, they share stories about the songs they're working on, and other musical muse. The songs are shared in various stages of development. Works are shared on SoundCloud and via Facebook or Twitter.
Living hours apart means that almost all their creation is an iterative process involving shared versioning, ideas, emails, messaging, skypes and facetiming. It only seems natural they "perform" in the open on the web.
